This product is developed as a permanent solution for “Steering Lock Failure” or “Steering Column Fault” issues commonly seen in new-generation Ford Mondeo (MK5, 2014+), Ford S-Max (MK2, 2016+), and Ford Galaxy (MK4, 2016+) vehicles. These faults may prevent the vehicle from starting or cause the ignition system to become unresponsive.

The emulator resolves the issue permanently by simulating the original faulty electronic steering lock (ESCL) unit that operates via the LIN bus system.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE: LIN (Blue Connector) Version Only

This emulator is compatible only with LIN-type systems used in 2014+ CD4 platform vehicles featuring a 4-pin BLUE connector (Part No: AV6N-3F880-KX).

It is NOT compatible with:

• Older CD4 platform vehicles (2007–2013) with BLACK connector (7G91...)

• C1 platform vehicles such as Ford Focus / Kuga with GREEN connector (8M51...)

Please verify the connector type and pin configuration before ordering.

Plug & Play Installation

This emulator is plug-and-play, meaning no programming or adaptation is required.

Installation Steps

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Disconnect the 4-pin blue connector from the faulty original ESCL unit.

3. If the steering lock is stuck in the locked position, mechanical removal of the unit may be required first.

4. Connect the emulator to the vehicle’s original wiring harness.

5. Connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle.

6. Access the BCM (or relevant control module) and clear all steering lock-related fault codes.

7. Start the vehicle.

LED Status Indicators

The emulator simulates the original steering lock status:

🟢 Solid Green Light

• Indicates successful operation

• Emulator is in “unlocked” state

• Vehicle is ready to start (no active fault codes)

🔴 Solid Red Light

• Indicates “locked” state

• Normal condition when ignition is off

🔴 Flashing Red Light

• Indicates an error condition

• Steering lock fault code has not been cleared from the BCM

• Use a diagnostic tool to reset fault codes
