D-Sub Connector Hood / Backshell

A D-Sub connector is a widely used connector type in serial communication and computer applications. It features rows of connector pins mounted within a metal shell. Due to its characteristic D-shaped design, it is referred to as a D-Sub connector.

The D-Sub cover (hood) helps protect the connector from physical impact, dust, and potential electrical faults, ensuring safer and more reliable operation.
