This universal emulator permanently bypasses (disables) the faulty mechanical steering lock (ESL).
The biggest advantage of this device is that it requires NO coding or programming whatsoever. Simply unplug the connector from the defective steering lock and connect this emulator. The fault is immediately eliminated, and the vehicle is ready to start.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Disconnect the faulty ELV cable from the original steering lock unit.
- If the steering lock is mechanically stuck in the locked position, remove the lock assembly from the vehicle.
- Connect our Mercedes ELV Emulator to the vehicle.
- Start the vehicle.
That's it.
LED Status Indicators
After connecting the emulator to the vehicle (or a test harness), insert the key into the ignition:
GREEN LED
Connection successful. The emulator has established proper communication with the EIS module, and the vehicle is ready to start.
RED LED
Error detected. The key does not belong to this EIS/EZS unit, or there is a fault in the vehicle's EIS (ignition) module.
NO LED
No power supply detected. Check the vehicle fuses and wiring connections to the emulator.
