Xhorse PCF79XX Adapter V2 for VVDI Prog Programmer (XDPG08EN)

The PCF79XX Adapter is designed to work with the VVDI Prog Programmer and is used for programming PCF79XX series chips.

1. Supported Chip Models

PCF7922, PCF7941, PCF7945, PCF7952, PCF7953, PCF7961

2. Two Optional Methods for Reading and Writing PCF79XX Chips

(1) Remove the Chip
Remove the chip from the circuit board, place it into the IC socket, and select "PCF79XX chip" in the software.

(2) Connect to the Circuit Board
Connect the adapter to the circuit board using wires and select "PCF79XX adapter" in the software.

Note: If the software cannot identify the chip using the "PCF79XX adapter" option due to interference from the circuit board, remove the chip and place it in the IC socket, then use the "PCF79XX chip" option for programming.

3. VVDI Prog Option Descriptions

(1) EEPROM
The data storage area. Read and write operations can be performed even when the chip is in a protected state.

(2) EROM
The program memory area (equivalent to the FLASH memory area in other chips). Read and write operations can only be performed when the chip is unprotected.

(3) Protected
Click to lock the chip and prevent data from being read.

(4) Unprotected
Click to unlock the chip and allow data to be read.

Warning: Unlocking the chip will erase the original data stored in it.

4. PCF79XX Chip Functions

(1) Currently, the PCF79XX chip supports locking, unlocking, and data read/write operations.

(2) The RENEW function will be added in a future update. This feature will allow direct key renewal by loading the corresponding data. Detailed vehicle model compatibility information will be released at a later date.
